Crystal Launches “Begin a New Story” Brand Campaign

Crystal Cruises is launching a new brand campaign centered on the slogan “Begin a New Story.” The campaign is the first work produced by Y&R:California since winning the Crystal advertising account in September.
The campaign consists of print advertisements, online banners, brochures and literature.
The campaign positions the Crystal brand as a blend of discovery and adventure—not just on the sea but with luxurious onboard service, world-class dining and land-based experiences. At the campaign’s core is the travel journal, a personal set of reflections, memories and mementos that travelers collect.
The campaign challenges the reader to “begin a new story” by starting their own journal of memories on a Crystal vacation.
In addition, Y&R:California is also producing a 60-second animated film that brings to life three individuals’ experiences as examples of opportunities available on a Crystal cruise.
These films will run online and will also be available via smartphone through the print campaign and emerging Aurasma technology.
Crystal also will launch a free app in May. The campaign will break on April 16 and runs throughout 2012 and into 2013. Y&R:California is a part of the Y&R network with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
