The National Park includes mountains, waterfalls, tidewater glaciers and wildlife ranging from black bears to harbor seals. Its islands include sea lion haul outs and its rocky coastline and islands contain rookeries for a wide variety of seabirds including gulls, kittiwakes, murres, oystercatchers, cormorants and puffins. Kenai Fjords, just 130 miles south of Anchorage, is made of a range of coastal mountains which slowly sink into the ocean, transforming its former glacial valleys into long fjords with rocky and steep walls. Kenai Fjords National Park has loads of natural splendor; it's a site that everybody loves.

Kenai Fjords National Park is good enough to spend more than a day at; Kenai Fjords RV Park is a good local campground. And if that's not enough, there are lots more to do next to Kenai Fjords National Park. You will also have the opportunity to view several types of glaciers, including the enormous Bear Glacier which is the largest glacier in the Kenai Fjords National Park. The best way to see the Kenai Fjords National Park and view wildlife is on a boat tour, as much of its rugged terrain and glaciers are inaccessible in any other way.
